Amman, Jordan: As part of efforts to expand green spaces, combat desertification, and promote food security, Bank ABC in Jordan recently planted 300 fruit-bearing trees in the Bayader Wadi Al Seer area. This initiative marks the first phase of its partnership with the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN) through the “Green Caravan” programme.
The project aims to support farmers facing challenging living conditions by planting fruit-bearing trees on their lands. These trees not only provide a source of nutrition and environmental benefits but also help generate income for farmers, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and lowering unemployment rates, particularly in underserved areas.
Bank ABC employees actively participated in the tree-planting activity, underscoring the bank’s commitment to involving its workforce in volunteering initiatives. This effort aligns with the bank’s strategic plan for sustainable development and its vision of fostering a sustainable economy.
